SAINT DENIS CHASSIRON

SAINT DENIS - acrylic painting by LODYA - Saint Denis stands at the extreme northern end of the island, a point where the land is at the same time wild and yet tamed by man. The 54 meter high lighthouse, the Chassiron looks out over the vas open sea.

SAINT PIERRE D'OLERON

SAINT PIERRE D'OLERON is rich in a past whose vestiges go as far back as the prehistoric era (domens familiarly know as the « galosh and Gargantua's spoon ». In recent years, St Pierre has been embellished and has expanded to become one of the liveliest towns on the island : pedestrian streets lined with shops make it a « must » for anyone with anything to sell or something to buy.
