FOURAS (its Fort, it's oyster-farming area and its wetlands)   Transformed into a lighthouse by Admiral Jacob after the Battle of the  the Brulots. From the terrace to the dugeon overlooking the sea 36 m below, in fair weather it's an outsanding viewpoint toward Rochefort, the Marennes belfry, the mouth of the Charente, the four islands, the forts the coast from La Pallice, Fouras and the hinterland. Two tables of orientation help to discover this magnificent panorama.
