Cloony The Clown by Shel Silverstein

I'll tell you the story of Cloony the Clown
Who worked in a circus that came through town.
His shoes were too big and his hat was too small,
But he just wasn't, just wasn't funny at all.
He had a trombone to play loud silly tunes,
He had a green dog and a thousand balloons.
He was floppy and sloppy and skinny and tall,
But he just wasn't, just wasn't funny at all.
And every time he did a trick,
Everyone felt a little sick.
And every time he told a joke,
Folks sighed as if their hearts were broke.
And every time he lost a shoe,
Everyone looked awfully blue.
And every time he stood on his head,
Everyone screamed, "Go back to bed!"
And every time he made a leap,
Everybody fell asleep.

This castle creates a striking impression. Doubtless, because it's the largest of the castles of Loire, but it's also the grandest illustration of Renaissance art. The long pathways of its vast park, where you can find deer and wild boar roaming free, add to this first impression. Built by François 1^st, Chambord was in the eyes of Charles Quint. »...the synthesis of what the human spirit can achieve.. ». The seductive power of Chambord lies in its roofwork and impressive chimneys, its turrets and its double axis staircase, the style of which is strongly reminiscent of Leonardo da Vinci

MAUPAS CASTLE

This castle was built in the Xvth C. by Jean Dumesnil-SImon, bailiff and governor of the Berry. It was erected on the ancient site of a previous dwelling which first belonged to the Seulys (1284) then to the Mathefelons (XIV th c.) and to the Rochechouarts.The castle became in 1682 Antoine Agard's property . He was ennobled by Louix Xvth in 1725,. This castle belongs still to the same family.
